On October 17th, Microsoft released a major update of the operating system - Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. Configurations and encryption keys will be updated during its installation as during the installation of the new Windows OS. To protect the traders' information the MetaTrader platform uses data binding to an operating system and the hardware. It ensures that in cases of the platform files being stolen it will be impossible for thieves to use the previously saved account details while connecting to the server.

Unfortunately, as the result of the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update release installation, all passwords to trading and manager accounts saved on a computer will become invalid. We highly advise you to be prepared beforehand and keep all passwords in a safe place in order to have access to the platform after the update.

Additionally, considering the encryption keys will be changed, the new activation of the installed and activated earlier applications from the MetaTrader Market will be needed because all products are also bound to the operating system. MetaQuotes will automatically add one activation per purchased product, regardless of the operating system version, as it has been done before after the release of the Windows 10 Creators Update. It means that you will not lose the product activations after installation of the Windows Fall 10 Creators Update.

Also, activations of the demo products will be lost so you will need to download them again from the Market.
