The marathon of unexpected tips that can significantly increase your productivity and trading results continues. And today we will talk about the importance and necessity of keeping yourself in good shape.
Take Cold Showers
It's hard to believe but even this unusual activity has a big impact on your brain:
- Reduces stress levels. Cold water triggers the release of norepinephrine which is responsible for fighting depression. You will become less irritable and will be able to make financial decisions with a cool head (pardon the pun).
- Efficiency and concentration increase. Cold water improves blood circulation. Every cell in your body receives more oxygen and nutrients which gives you a lot of energy. The main thing is to use this energy wisely.
- You become more focused. Getting yourself to stand in a cold shower can be challenging. Learning how to resist the urge to end this “torment” just to achieve an important goal will make it easier for you to deal with any obstacles.
And these are only those reasons that have a good effect on your ability to trade well. In fact, a cold shower has a number of other beneficial properties that will improve your overall well-being and boost your immunity.
However, you shouldn't rush under the icy water right away or you can harm yourself. Start by rubbing with a cold towel. Then move on to pouring cold water on yourself and only then proceed to a cold shower. Make sure to read about the basic rules before starting.
And most importantly, try doing it in the morning. This will energize you for the whole day.
Exercise
I know this advice is pretty obvious but it shouldn't be overlooked. Scientists have proven that exercising, on average, increases your cognitive performance by 30%. Imagine how much your trading results will improve in this case.
And that's not the only plus of working out. When you consistently exercise at least 3 times a week, you automatically become a more disciplined person. This is an indispensable quality for any trader.
To be successful in Forex, you need to perform the same sequential actions day after day, trade after trade. This is subject only to a disciplined person.
In addition, exercising triggers the release of endorphins that have a positive effect on your mood and reduce stress levels.
Now, you might say that you don't have time for the gym or that you don't like running. But there are so many types of physical activity that there is an option for everyone:
- Yoga, pilates, stretching
- Swimming, running, jumping rope
- Cycling
- Various sports: football, baseball
- Surfing, etc.
Even dancing or long walks will do. Choose an activity you like and practice. The main thing is to do it consistently.
That's all for today. Don't worry, there’s not much left. Next time we'll talk about multitasking and another extremely obvious but important tip. Stay tuned.
